This policy explains when you can get your money back for ESC founding membership, how instalment plans work, how to stop one, and what happens if a payment fails.
It sits alongside our terms of use and purchase and our ESC membership terms. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Hexa Partners & Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (202201046763 / 1492460-M). Nothing in this policy takes away any rights you have under Malaysian consumer law.
1. The 14-day money-back rule
This rule is our own promise. Malaysian law doesn’t require it, and it doesn’t replace any right you have by law.
We refund you in full if all of these are true:
- you ask in writing within 14 days of your first payment
- you’ve used no more than 1 coaching credit
- once courses have launched, you’ve completed less than 20% of any course
There are no courses yet. Until they launch, the course condition doesn’t apply, and we look only at the 14 days and the 1 coaching credit.
2. How to ask
Reply to your welcome email within 14 days of your first payment. If you can’t find it, email hey@hexa.partners from the address you joined with.
We check your request against the rule and email you our decision.
3. What happens when we refund you
- We refund every payment you’ve made for the membership, through Stripe, to the way you paid. We aim to send it within 7 to 14 business days. How long it then takes to reach you depends on your bank or payment provider.
- If you’re on an instalment plan, we cancel it, so there are no more charges.
- Your membership ends, and any coaching credits you have left are removed.
- We remove you from the founders’ WhatsApp group.
- Your seat goes back into the pool. Your founding number isn’t given to anyone else.
- We email you to confirm. Stripe also emails you a receipt for the refund.
4. Outside the rule
If your request falls outside the rule, we may still choose to refund you, for example on compassionate or exceptional grounds. It’s always our decision, we decide each case on its own, and we record the reason.
5. Cards issued outside Malaysia
For now, founding membership is for people in Malaysia, and card payments must use a card issued in Malaysia.
If you pay by card and the card wasn’t issued in Malaysia, the order isn’t valid. We cancel any instalment plan, end access and refund the payment to the card you used. We currently refund the full amount. We keep the right to deduct the payment provider’s charges where the law allows. We’ll email you to explain. You can then:
- pay once with FPX or GrabPay
- use a card issued in Malaysia
- join the waitlist for your country
6. Instalment plans
You can pay in 3 or 6 monthly card payments. The extra you pay for instalments is an administrative handling and recurring-billing charge of 3% or 5%. It isn’t interest, and we aren’t lending you money. Each monthly payment is the price plus that charge, divided by the number of payments and rounded up to the whole ringgit.
| Price | 3 monthly payments (+3%) | 6 monthly payments (+5%) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard founding (RM 3,999 if paid once) | 3 × RM 1,373 (RM 4,119 in total) | 6 × RM 700 (RM 4,200 in total) |
| Alumni: courses and workshops (RM 2,999 if paid once) | 3 × RM 1,030 (RM 3,090 in total) | 6 × RM 525 (RM 3,150 in total) |
| Alumni: programmes and bootcamps (RM 1,499 if paid once) | 3 × RM 515 (RM 1,545 in total) | 6 × RM 263 (RM 1,578 in total) |
There’s no SST on any of these amounts. We aren’t registered for SST.
A 12-month plan (12 monthly payments, the price plus an 8% charge of the same kind) is available by request, at our discretion. Email hey@hexa.partners to ask. If we offer it, we send you a private link, and you see the amount of each payment and the total before you pay.
- Your first payment is taken at checkout. Then one payment is taken each month until the last one. The plan ends on its own after that, and your membership carries on.
- You can update your card, and see your payment history, from your member page. It opens Stripe’s customer portal.
- Stripe emails you a receipt for each payment.
7. Stopping an instalment plan
You can stop your plan at any time. Email hey@hexa.partners from the address you joined with and tell us you want to stop.
- We stop the plan as soon as we process your email. You won’t be charged again, and we don’t charge a penalty.
- Your membership ends when the billing period you’ve already paid for ends.
- What you’ve already paid isn’t refunded, unless you qualify under the 14-day rule. To avoid a charge, please email us before your next payment date.
8. If an instalment payment fails
You have time to fix a failed payment before anything changes. Days count from the day the payment fails.
| Day | What happens |
|---|---|
| 0 | We email you: “Your payment didn’t go through”. Your member page shows a warning. You can still book sessions and use the founders’ group invite. |
| 2, 4 and 6 | Stripe tries the payment again. |
| 7 | If it still hasn’t gone through, your access is paused. We email you. You can’t book coaching sessions, and the founders’ group invite is hidden. Your member page stays open. If you’ve already joined the founders’ group, you stay in it until your plan ends. |
| 7 to 60 | You can pay the overdue amount or update your card at any time from your member page. Your access comes back straight away. |
| 60 | If it still hasn’t been paid, your plan ends. |
While your access is paused, coaching credits keep arriving, but you can’t use them until your payment comes back.
When a plan ends on day 60
- We cancel the plan and the unpaid payments, so you won’t be charged again.
- Your membership ends, and any unused coaching credits are removed.
- We remove you from the founders’ WhatsApp group.
- We keep what you’ve paid as payment for the access, materials and credits you had while your plan was running.
- As a goodwill step, we give you store credit for 100% of what you’ve paid, and email you the amount.
9. Store credit
Store credit is non-refundable and can’t be transferred. It’s valid for 12 months from the day we issue it. You can use it for any workshop, live programme, advisory service or digital toolkit we offer, including the store we open in Release 1, our next product release.
10. Questions about a charge, and bank disputes
If you think a charge is wrong, please email hey@hexa.partners first. We can usually sort it out faster than a bank dispute.
If you ask your bank to reverse a payment (a chargeback) without first following this policy, we may suspend your access while the bank decides. We may give the bank our payment records, access logs and other proof of what you received. If the bank decides in our favour, you must pay the dispute fees we were charged.
