Draft note. This is a first draft for review by our Malaysian lawyer. It isn’t legal advice and isn’t in force yet. Your coach isn’t available until our courses launch.
“Your coach” is the AI coach in our lessons. This notice says what it is, what it does and doesn’t do, and what happens to what you tell it. It sits alongside our terms of use and purchase, our ESC membership terms and our privacy notice. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Hexa Partners & Technologies Sdn. Bhd. (202201046763 / 1492460-M).
1. Your coach is an AI
Your coach is an AI system, not a person. Every reply is marked “AI” and may contain mistakes. Check anything important, such as legal, tax, financial or grant rules, with a qualified person or the official source.
2. What it does
- It answers questions about the course and lesson you’re in, and draws on our lessons.
- Where it uses lesson content, it shows where: each answer links to the lesson section it came from.
- It reviews your practice tasks and gives feedback in three parts: what’s working, what to push further and one next step.
3. What it doesn’t do
- It doesn’t write your submissions for you. It will explain, ask questions and give feedback, but it won’t produce a finished answer to your task.
- It doesn’t give legal, tax, investment or medical advice, and it isn’t a replacement for a human coach.
- It doesn’t decide anything about your membership, refunds or access.
4. A human coach is always available
You can book a human coach at any time. After two rounds of revising the same task, or whenever you ask, we offer a human coach prominently. Human coaching uses your coaching credits, as explained in the ESC membership terms.
5. What happens to what you tell it
- Before your messages reach the AI model, we remove patterns that look like email addresses, phone numbers and identity numbers.
- Your questions, tasks and, if you turn it on, your coach profile are processed by our AI providers to produce answers. They aren’t used to train AI models.
- Your conversations are private to you. Our staff read one only if you flag it or we are reviewing abuse, and we log when that happens.
- We keep conversations for 12 months and then delete them.
- Your coach profile is optional and off by default. You can switch it off or delete it in your settings at any time.
The privacy notice has the full detail.
6. Using it well
Please don’t put in other people’s personal data, passwords, payment details or confidential material. Don’t try to get it to ignore its rules. We may limit use that is abusive or that costs us unreasonable amounts.
7. When it’s unavailable
Your coach may be slow, limited or offline at times. We don’t promise it will always be available.
Questions for our lawyer
- [For our lawyer] Do the “may make mistakes” marking and this notice meet our duties to tell people they are talking to an AI?
- [For our lawyer] Is a 12-month retention period for conversations acceptable? (The same question is in the pending privacy additions.)
- [For our lawyer] How should we word the limit on liability for advice given by the AI, given the consumer law rules?
- [For our lawyer] Should this notice be shown before first use and accepted, or is a link in the chat enough?
