How will You go through this Course?
This course is crafted and designed to accommodate and fit the ever-changing schedules of full-time professionals. At the beginning of a Course, there is a physical gathering â it is when we get to know each other and prime everyone on whatâs planned for the Course. Then once a week, we are going to have 2 â 3 hours of live online class, where we will be doing real-work activities and discussions to hone your innovation skillset.
Week 1 - Introduction & Onboarding (In-Person: 3 Hours)
The first week is made to prime everyone in every cohort for success. Within this brief interaction, you will understand what innovation and the types of innovation are. We will cover a brief exploration of Design Thinking and its methodologies, but you will experience it more as we go through the Course. Getting things started right is important so that is why we do it physically. Besides, it will be nice to get to know everyone face-to-face.
Week 2 - Empathise (Online: 3 Hours)
The second week is when we will be starting to use Design Thinking. The first step of Design Thinking is to Empathise with your selected target audience. Empathy is crucial to a human-centred design process such as design thinking because it allows you to set aside your own assumptions about the world and gain real insight into users and their needs. By the end of this week, you should gain an empathetic understanding of the problem youâre trying to solve, typically through user research.
Week 3 - Define (Online: 3 Hours)
The third week is when we analyse the accumulated information gathered during the Empathise stage. There will be more intentional and mindful discussions this week as we aim to Define what is going on and develop some problem statements and personas. There will be a lot of voting and deciding during this phase.
Week 4 - Ideate & Prototype (Online: 3 Hours)
The fourth week is picking up speed for everyone as we start to come up with ideas and prototypes. Here, we encourage you to take a moment and see things from different perspectives. Explore alternatives to view your selected problem and challenge and identify solutions. We aim to find the best possible solution to be produced as a prototype. From this week to the next, you will continuously develop your prototype with our guidance.
Week 5 - Deploy & Test (Online: 3 Hours)
The fifth week is dedicated to testing your solution out with your targeted audience and gathering insights. In this phase of the Course, you will deploy your solution and conduct testing autonomously and with minimal intervention. As this is the final phase, design thinking is iterative: you can rewind and make further iterations, alterations, and refinements or figure out alternative solutions.
Week 6 - Demo & Insights (Online: 3 Hours)
The final week is focused on sharing! You will demo your solutions and your findings as well as your discovered insights throughout the Course journey. On our side of things, we will share with you our observations and some encouragements and pointers. Then, we will onboard everyone on the Post-Course Ongoing Support process so that you can continue utilising what has been taught in this Course.

Why conduct this Course in an in-person setting?
It is just the first day of the first week, not the whole Course.
Some things require all of our senses' attention. There are a lot of online courses out there and even more so after the pandemic. Let's be honest: how often do you finish them?
Our Courses are designed to be an 'all hands on deck' kind of experience. There will be physical activities that are immersive and time-boxed. Based on our catered capacity per Course, there is an opportunity to attend to every Participant's needs and goals. Afterwards, you'll have access to our lifetime Community platform.
Will this course be available as an online course?
Not at this moment (or even this year for that matter, sorry!) - There is a plan for it but not now. All our Courses are an 'all hands on deck' kind of experience. There will be physical activities that are immersive and time-boxed. However, once you've attended one of the Courses, you'll have access to our lifetime Community platform.
Will this Course be available elsewhere other than the stated location?
We wanted to but as of this moment, not yet. Hopefully, we can come to your preferred areas sooner than later. Connect with us through our social media channels, and let us know where!
I can't attend physically. Is there any other way I could attend this course?
Yes, we do have other ways for you. please
contact us to learn more about it.
Is this an HRD Corp Claimable Course?
Unfortunately, not yet at the moment but we are working towards that. We'll let you know the soonest and update things on our social media and communication channels.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that things change. You can cancel your seat within 30 days before the Course starts so we can anticipate logistical issues and requirements. However, you can also opt for a forwarded enrolment into the next Course session or Learning Cohort.
